UVOX-100
Function
The UVOX-100 system has a small, highly intensive ultraviolet lamp used to generate ultraviolet light on a wavelength of 185 nm. Air is sucked in by means of a venturi and irradiated by ultraviolet light.
Due to this irradiation, the oxygen to be found in the air is converted into ozone. This air/ozone mixture is injected into the water by means of the venturi nozzle.
Ozone leads to the oxidation of pathogenic germs in water (bacteria, viruses and algae) and disturbing dissolved matter (such as hydrocarbons (TOC) or chloramine).
The UVOX-100 system requires a pipeline to the delivery location of 10 to 20 metres in order to finalise the oxidation process completely. In this case Wapure guarantees that all ozone in the water has been oxidised.
